Sports Dentistry

A sportsperson strives to be in shape at all times. In addition to leaving the body out of shape, missing a game cause one to lose touch. This is why athletes always work to avoid getting hurt. However, injuries usually happen when they least expect them, despite their greatest attempts to avoid them. It is typical for athletes to miss time from play due to tooth injuries in contact sports. Players in boxing and rugby are particularly at risk for dental injuries because they are more vulnerable to facial or oral damage. One of the newest dental specialties that is increasingly gaining popularity in London is sports dentistry. It deals with ways to prevent and treat injuries that athletes sustain while participating in sports. Sports dentistry involves many facets, including teaching the proper technique, purchasing and maintaining the appropriate equipment, creating secure play spaces, and providing protective gear. Athletes are using protective equipment more and more, but there are some considerations that need to be made. Applying the same protective gear to all athletes would be ineffective because each athlete is unique. A sports dentist is expected to consider the athlete's physical characteristics as well as, of course, his comfort. Since he should be concentrating on the game and not the mouthguard, the player must feel at ease while wearing the equipment. Sports dentistry is not just used during the playoffs. When a player is in action, attention must be made because practise sessions are crucial to their fitness.

Our mission is to provide exceptional aesthetic dentistry while also promoting long-term dental wellness.

Our carefully selected team of dental specialists will go above and beyond to ensure that each patient's treatment plan is specifically tailored to their needs.
